New "Springtime Blues" Large Abstract Texas Wildflower Painting by Niki Gulley

"Springtime Blues" ©2020 Niki Gulley
SOLD • 36” x 60” mixed media on canvas

Just Sold through the Good Art Company! I wanted to show Texas' spring landscape in a completely different way. With an aura of mystery and the promise of what tomorrow holds, late day light sparkles over the horizon casting its warm glow kissing everything it touches with glimmers of hope. Rows and rows of bluebonnets and colorful wildflowers dance in the sparkling light, leaving the landscape loose and free so that your imagination can tell its story. May you relish the joy in the beauty of nature, bathing in the moment and looking forward to what tomorrow will bring.

The Old Mill Study, Barbara Haviland

#mill,#water,#building,#11x14,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com This painting was part of a study.  We had the photo and I painted it then watched the demo. I always do that.  I like to change my painting up a bit. It is painted on a hardboard panel that has canvas adhered to it.  I have used this method for years. I don't care for the spring of a stretched canvas.  Thanks for viewing my art ~~Barbara Available  GALLERY INFO Barbara Haviland Fine Art 1579 County Road 1010 Woodville, Texas 75979 409-332-0141 Website

Central Fire Station Lake Charles, La Barbara Haviland

CENTRAL FIRE STATION LAKE CHARLES, LA #CentralFireStation,#HIstoric,#Building,#BarbaraHavilandFineArt.com Central Fire Station  no longer exists in  Lake Charles, La.  I had some old photos that I used to paint this painting.   24"x40"  and it is signed and framed, but you must come pick it up. I was told that the station burned down and they built another.
I haven’t posted here in a long time, partly because my artistic endeavors have taken a turn toward quilting instead of painting.   But this quilt started as a painting which I had printed on fabric and then turned it into a quilt.  So maybe I can slip it into the blog!  If you are interested in seeing more, let me know!
