New "Enduring Legacy" Texas Landscape by Impressionist Artist Niki Gulley

24" x 12" textured acrylic painting on 1.5" gallery wrap canvas with the scene continuing around the edges

These two massive, gnarly trees seemed to rise out of nowhere amongst the rolling fields of Texas bluebonnets. I feel like they had a story to tell, and I needed to capture their enduring presence by making them the focus of my painting. Purposely choosing this elongated canvas gives their trunks and limbs plenty of room to express their legacy and emphasize their majesty. Exciting pops of color, energetic strokes and a touch of whimsy add to the joy of these ancestral beauties.
